SACRIFICE

You are not yet in love, if it has never cost you anything.

Sacrifice is a component of love, that really proves its authenticity. Love must cost you something, but they are things you should never sacrifice even to love.

Sacrifice is like a trade in. Trade your weaknesses to gain strength. If you are dating someone who is out to make your life better than it was, then be ready to sacrifice those attributes that you doesn't make the best of you, and you are not willing to let go, but have to for the sake of love.


Sacrifice your time, your money, even to an extent your privacy. If you are going to accommodate someone in to your life, you must be willing to make some adjustments, to make your life comfortable to that person. That's part of what you meant when you uttered, "I Love You".

Rigidity is an enemy of love. You can't remain unchanged or careless about your partner's desires and never willing to give up anything for their sake. You shouldn't let them even say, you should be able to give it up to willingly.


But, the big But to Sacrifice is sacrificing your strengths to accommodate someone. There are things you should never sacrifice, one of them - Salvation. Value system. Purpose. Plans. Provided these are good and credible, your partner should be able to instead encourage and support them.

Some men that after marrying a woman, orders them to shutdown their life and become baby sitters are not helpful. Even if the woman agrees, she's never going to take it all in with whole heart and that's the beginning of murmuring and issues in the marriage.


It is wise to study each other's value system, understand the mutual part and complement where it falls short.

Love is not real, until someone sacrifices something.
